Have You ever heard of a tradition Mexican celebration for the fifteen year old girls ? Well I have and I'm gonna talk about it for this blog today. Quinces are just a celebration for fifteen year old , but it's like their princesses of the day. My friend Is going to be having a Quince pretty soon, so she's already planning. She called me and told me that she wanted me to be one of her Damas. I was so happy, because Damas are the girls that will stand by her side as if you were getting married. I forgot what they called the boys in a Quince but she had to choose some boys too. When you have a Quince you have to have five boys and five girls.
They have to be partnered up, so that means I'm gonna be partnered up also. They people that she chose have to dance when she has her Quince. So that means we all have to go and take dancing lessons so we can dance. When we are all ready and know all the dance moves, The girls have to go and get dresses, but they have to be all the same. But the Quince girl has to pick them out because it is her decision. The boys have to go and get their tuxedos.
When we got everything settled we had to go and find a place where she can have her Quince at, and when we find it, we just wait for her big day. When it is time for her Quince all the girls have to wake up super duper early and go get their nails, and hair done. The Damas have to be put on some serious diet so they can be sorta skinny. And when everything is ready, It will finally be her big day.
Long ago, before I came to Computech Middle School, probably when I was about eight to ten years old i had a bestfriend named Vanessa. She was so tall and skinny, we were even told that we looked alike. She meant everything to me, one time we went campin, well she came with me and my family, we had a blast. We went on the boat that we rented, and went swimming. My whole family even knew her, that's how close she was to me. I would even call her my sister, and my mom would even say that she is like a daughter to her. We did everything together, one time she went with me and my aunt and uncle to Hawaii. We went scuba diving and everything, one time for my birthday she bought me and her some matching clothes so we can be twins. My mom and dad even got me and her a present for me and her, which was a neclacethat said bestfriends forever, They said it almost cost them about pretty much alot of money, because it was made out of gold. One time I couldn't go to school becasue I was sick so I had to stay home and my parents were at work. And so were her parents. I rememeber I was laying in my bed, it was just me and my older sister at home, she had to stay home and watch me. I rememebr she yelled my name asking if I seen Vanessa anywhere, I said No because obviously I was at home all day. So a few minutes after that, she ran up to my room and told me that she ditched school becasue the people from the office at our school said they haven't seen her. After a while, we tried to figure out where she was, they had to call her mom and dad. Trust me they were worried so much tears started to drool out from their eyes. I was even more devastated because we couldn't find her a week later. We thought she had ran away, but We all knew she wouldn't have done something like that. She got kidnapped. Everytime I think about it, I want to cry because I really regret being sick that day. I wish I just wouldn't be sick that day so I would be by her side to protect us from whoever took her. Even though everything is over, we still haven't found her, I still believe she is in my heart with me. She will always be my bestfriend no matter what, and I cherish all those things I did with her. I Love her.
Have you ever had a friend that you knew that you can trust with all your heart? Yeah, well I have one of those friends, and matter of fact she was my bestfriend. Her name was Jennifer, She would always make my days through the good and the bad times. I've had many other bestfriends, but in groups. Like I had a group of besties who were Juanis, Patricia, Jennieh, and Rosa. Yeah, we call her Jennieh because that just describes her. We were so close together, but now we go to different schools. Well I'm the only girl that goes to Computech, they go to Tioga. I truely missed them with all my heart, It's just devastating that I don't get to see the often. We see eachother only when there's little teenager parties, or when we go to the fair. I haven't seen them so long, that when I'm with them, I feel shy and nervous. Honestly I just want to go to Tioga to be with them to have fun again with them. They are the girls I trust with all my heart, from my crush to my problems, and even to my secrets.
To me they are crazy because they aren't shy to do anything in front of me, I call them my sisters. They will always have my back and I will always have theirs. They told me that when they turn fifteen and have thier quince, I get to be one of their girls because I was one of the important girls in their life. I've hung out with them for so long, it's been about since the day we were all born. Our moms were bestfriends when they were younger and they still are to this day. My mom told me that I get to transfer schools and go to Tioga soon to be with my bestfriends, because she said she knew how I felt without them. They mean everything to me, I would take a bullet for them. We do everything together, and we hope one day we will end up being like our mothers, that are still bestfriends till this day.
